Preparing for our first baby was so much fun. Re-designing our guest bedroom in to a nursery was something I looked forward to. Creating a room for someone you have yet to meet can be tricky but we had faith he'd like it no matter what. I tend to shy away from any kind of strict theme, I don't want to become a slave to it, so instead I was able to piece specific ideas together, and I think what we came up with came out pretty well.
I wanted to go with a neutral wall color and pull in pops of colors from there, so I chose to go with grey walls. Red was an obvious highlight when I found the throw pillows and I pulled it in further with the birthdate canvas that I made (really easy diy!). I had some more wall space to cover so I found some cool prints to throw up. We decided to keep a bed in the room to maximize space for visitors and that proved the best choice ever come our little man's sleep schedule.
I also decided to go with chalkboard paint for one wall. It's served as a place we can record every new milestone, and when he gets a little older, it's a blank canvas that he can go wild with.
More to come on our mini man.
