It's a really fun time of year, changing the house up and gearing up for the holiday season is something I really have fun with. Making your house pretty can be a really low maintenance kind of thing and can be as simple as grabbing some white lights, different textured greenery, and some votives. You can keep your budget low by utilizing your own backyard (for those who don't live in the city). Often times you'll have your own pine trees right there to pick from, it's possible you could even have a couple different kinds. Or, you can use the trimmings from your own Christmas tree. The smell is awesome, and it's free.

Making your own wreath is also something that's really budget friendly and fun. For this one I used trimmings from our own pine trees and made it stand out with a couple faux items I picked up from Hobby Lobby. Easily a project that was no more than $30.

Whatever you decide, have fun with it, and have a great holiday!
