For the Casually Inclined

Friday's Playlist - Folk Rock

It's been a great summer of music, luckily we've been able to get to a lot of concerts despite our hectic schedules. Langhorne Slim & The Law was one of the opening bands for the Lumineers show we went to and I've had a lot of fun post-show exploring their music. There's nothing better than discovering a band you really relate to musically. My love for folk-rock type music has definitely grown this summer and I'm looking forward to exploring the genre further. Any recommendations, I'd love to hear about them!

As much as I wanted to document and share outfit details at some of these events I found myself kind of swept up and wanting to focus on enjoying the moment. So here are some of my concert go-to accessories re-created. With unpredictable concert weather a good hat is key, plus, it's perfect for a concert look. I've always found really good options and good prices at Norstrom's. Lime Crime has been a really fun place I've recently discovered for lipstick and makeup. I love their velvetine liquid matte lip options, the below are two of my favorite shades. I love putting an outfit together for a show but I always go comfortable when it comes to footwear because you never know how far you'll be walking. These flats from Gap are on sale and come in all the neutral colors. We always pack a blanket just in case and I love the Mexican Falsa Blankets, we actually got this one in Mexico (at the airport ;)), really inexpensive and perfect for an event like this. The different colors are eye-catching and really pretty!
